Resources

Healing, growth, and becoming more intentional in how we relate to ourselves and one another rarely happen through one conversation, one book, or one practice.

This page is a growing collection of resources I have found meaningful, useful, and practical in my own learning and in the work I do with others. Some are designed to help you better understand your nervous system, some support mindfulness and self-compassion, and others invite deeper reflection about relationships, healing, and how we show up for the people around us.

You do not need to use everything here. I encourage you to explore what feels relevant, take what is useful, and return to these resources as your needs and understanding change.

Understand Your Nervous System

Polyvagal Theory offers a practical, compassionate way to understand how the nervous system influences our emotions, reactions, relationships, and sense of safety. Deb Dana’s work makes these concepts especially approachable and helps translate the science into everyday language and tools. The beginner’s guide, introductory video, and Polyvagal Ladder exercise are a great place to start if you want to better recognize your own nervous system states, understand what helps you feel more regulated and connected, and begin building greater awareness of what your body may be communicating.

Let Deb Dana walk you through the mapping of your own survival and connection states. Let her help you understand what your own experience is like so you can have greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and compassion for others
